Chicago, IL-December 12, 2012 – ArrowStream Inc., (“ArrowStream”) a leading provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) supply chain management technology and logistics services, is excited to announce that its Accounting Manager, Elizabeth Pittelkow, CPA, was recently honored as a one of six recipients of the Illinois CPA Society’s eighth annual “Women to Watch” Award. This award recognizes and celebrates women who have promoted a work environment that provides opportunities for the successful integration of their personal and professional lives and the advancement of women in the positions of leadership.
Ms. Pittelkow, daughter of Richard and Sally Pittelkow, was nominated by her peers and selected as a “Women to Watch” Emerging Leader Award recipient by the Illinois CPA Society’s Women’s Executive Committee and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Women’s Initiative Executive Committee for her involvement within the profession and in her community.
Ms. Pittelkow expressed appreciation during her speech at the awards ceremony, “I am deeply, humbled to be receiving the ‘Women to Watch’ Emerging Leader Award. The AICPA and Illinois CPA Society are tremendous organizations that promote excellence and ethics in our profession, provide resources, and celebrate the successes of leaders.”
Ms. Pittelkow contributes toward many company initiatives at ArrowStream, including co-founding the Business Continuity Committee, organizing philanthropies, and serving as President of ArrowStream Toastmasters. In Toastmasters, she is an Area Governor and recently earned a Triple Crown award and an Advanced Communicator Bronze designation. She serves as Secretary of the Illinois CPA Society Ethics Committee, teaches accounting ethics, co-authors an accounting ethics blog, and maintains CGMA and CITP designations from the AICPA.
Ms. Pittelkow is an active and volunteering alumna of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she earned Senior 100 Honorary and a College of Business Top Ten Seniors Award. She is an alumna of Phi Mu and Phi Gamma Nu.
She currently resides in Chicago where she enjoys volunteering with Horizons for Youth, Junior Achievement, and the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
