ArrowStream to Speak at the Illinois Beef Association Summer Conference

CHICAGO, June 11, 2019 — ArrowStream’s commodities and blockchain expert, Dr. Isaac Olvera, will be presenting at the Illinois Beef Association (IBA) Summer Conference, running June 11-13. 

The IBA Summer Conference helps to address issues that producers are facing and discuss ways to manage risks. Dr. Olvera will be presenting an educational session on traceability, blockchain and technology on the farm. He will discuss the shift towards a new-age consumer and what trust, transparency and food safety mean as technology reshapes beef production, from ranch to rail.  

Dr. Olvera’s session will be held on June 12th at 3:00 PM.

About Dr. Isaac Olvera

A native Texas and former cattlemen, Dr. Isaac Olvera spent his early career with the Texas AgriLife Extension Agency, conducting research and working with cattlemen regarding ranch to rail traceability and the economic impacts of properly using pharmaceutical technologies. Isaac has come a long way from his grassroots days with cattlemen, now with Chicago based ArrowStream, a foodservice supply chain technology company dedicated to helping clients improve supply chain management, strategic sourcing, food safety, and food quality. Dr. Olvera’s primary responsibilities include production, trade, and price forecast and analysis for red meat and poultry products, as well as grains and oilseeds. Dr. Olvera also serves as a member of ArrowStream’s blockchain and food traceability thought-leadership team.
