ArrowStream Adds Vendor Contract Management to OnDemand for Improved Pricing Accuracy and Time Savings

Ability to enable instant, secure price changes that are applied throughout the supply chain will optimize efficiency, improve communication for manufacturers, distributors and restaurant chains

Chicago, IL, September 16, 2008 - ArrowStream, a leading provider of supply chain management and logistics solutions for the foodservice industry, announced new Vendor Contract Management functionality as part of its OnDemand product offering. The Vendor Contracts module enables suppliers and category managers to develop pricing agreements in a common system while reducing time-consuming and costly administrative functions like custom reporting and rekeying of pricing information. With this module, restaurant chains also gain a more accurate view of actual costs.

Arrowstream OnDemand enables suppliers, distributors and restaurant chains to synchronize and manage their supply chain data, thereby enabling panoramic visibility across the supply chain. For restaurant chains seeking to reduce time spent inputting item price changes, the Vendor Contract Management functionality allows suppliers and restaurant chains to securely and directly enter price changes into the system. All trading partners benefit by the consistency of viewing the same data in one place and by enjoying more timely approval of price changes. Distributors benefit by synchronizing pricing with their systems, increasing accuracy and decreasing the advance notice required for price changes.

"ArrowStream's new vendor contract module is very promising, especially with suppliers that have many SKUs. It has the potential to reduce the timely and error-prone process of tedious price change data entry," said Dan Bromberg, Director Supply Chain Systems and Analysis, Wendy's International.

With variable costs like food and fuel prices in constant flux, the Vendor Contract Management module will help customers save time by automatically allocating freight price changes to all relevant items in the system based on case attributes.
“We continue to work collaboratively with our customers to identify their supply chain pain points and develop applications that foster greater speed to market, cost efficiency and value delivery,” said Rodger Mullen, president and COO of ArrowStream.
