ArrowStream Named Finalist for ITA CityLIGHTS Award

Supply chain technology leader honored for national reputation, proven growth and product and service excellence

Chicago, IL  April, 20, 2009 -- ArrowStream, a leading provider of supply chain solutions for the foodservice and grocery industries has been named a finalist for an Illinois Technology Association (ITA) CityLIGHTS award, in the Lighthouse Award category.

The Lighthouse Award is presented to the company which best represents the region’s growing stature as a top information technology hub. The award winner must provide recognized excellence in product and services and:

  • Have at least $10 million in annual revenue;
  • Exhibit a commitment to customer service and have established a unique place in its market;
  • Have a national reputation;
  • Have demonstrated growth and financial stability over the past year;
  • Have a significant employee base;
  • Be part of an industry ecosystem (i.e. industry board);
  • Be actively involved in the community and in seeding stakeholder success; and
  • Demonstrate sector leadership.

ArrowStream was chosen as a finalist for this award based upon its strong reputation as a provider of supply chain technology solutions for foodservice and grocery markets.  National customers like Wendy’s, Arby’s, Applebee’s, Steak ‘n Shake, PF Chang’s and many others have relied on ArrowStream’s technology and nationwide network to garner significant logistics cost savings and to enable the integration and synchronization of a fully managed supply chain. ArrowStream currently handles over $20 billion in goods annually, representing a significant amount of the total inventory in the food services industry.  Fulfilling another award criterion, the company has demonstrated significant growth in the past year with a loyal and expanding customer base contributing to 65 percent Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) over the last three years and over $85M in revenue in 2008.

ArrowStream’s success is founded on the belief in the collective power of the supply chain -- that when all players in the supply chain share information, processes and the resulting savings - everyone wins. “We at ArrowStream are honored to be named a finalist for this award category that recognizes leadership and growth. This award represents the achievements of our customers and their trading partners who have worked together to illuminate the cost savings and revenue generation that can be achieved through a collaborative supply chain management,“ said Steven LaVoie, CEO and founder of ArrowStream, Inc.

ITA will present several awards, including the Lighthouse Award, CEO of the Year, the Newcomer Award and others, which honor outstanding information technology companies, executives and advocates in Illinois, at ITA’s 10th annual CityLIGHTS Gala on April 23 at Union Station in Chicago.

ITA CityLIGHTS finalists are selected by a group of judges who represent various sectors of Illinois’ business community. The award winners are then chosen by a vote of members of Illinois’ technology community.
