Steven LaVoie
Chairman and CEO
Steven LaVoie founded ArrowStream in 2000 and serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. LaVoie's extensive experience in foodservice and finance, combined with his passion and commitment to building trust among trading partners, has helped him develop a unique vision for reshaping the foodservice supply chain. Since founding ArrowStream, he and his team have been dedicated to building the world’s most efficient supply chains.
Prior to forming ArrowStream, LaVoie was President of the Sterno Division at Blyth Industries, a $1.3 billion global consumer products company. Previously, LaVoie held several positions at Blyth Industries including Vice President of International and Corporate Controller. LaVoie earned his Master's degree in public and private management (MPPM) from the Yale School of Management and his Bachelor of Arts from The University of California, Berkeley.
LaVoie has earned many professional recognitions including: Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2010 Midwest honoree, finalist for the Illinois Technology Association (ITA) 2010 CEO of the Year, and Supply and Demand Chain Executives’ 2009 Pros to Know. He serves on the Board of the Chicago Institute of Psychoanalysis and chairs its investment committee. He has been involved with the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association since 1999.

Tony DeFrances
Chief Technology Officer
Tony DeFrances is the Chief Technology Officer for ArrowStream. With ArrowStream virtually since its inception, Tony leads all aspects of ArrowStream’s technology, including Development, Quality Assurance, Technical Support, Documentation, Systems and Network Infrastructure, and Data Management.
DeFrances brings more than 25 years of technology experience to ArrowStream. For the 10 years prior to joining the company, he founded and ran a successful software company that developed and sold communications, middleware, and sales force automation products and services to Fortune 500 companies in foodservice and other industries. Prior to starting his own company, DeFrances spent 15 years in technology consulting and software development.
DeFrances has a Master of Science in Experimental Psychology and a Masters of Computer Science from the University of Dayton.
Tony lives in the Chicago area with his wife Eileen and three children.

Dana Rugienius
Chief Financial Officer
Dana joined ArrowStream in February, 2008 as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, overseeing budgeting and forecasting processes. In January 2011, Dana was promoted to Chief Financial Officer, and now oversees Accounting, Finance, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
Prior to ArrowStream, Dana was VP of Operational Reporting for Equity Office Properties, a publicly traded office building REIT. Before her VP of operational Reporting position, she performed various roles including SEC Financial Reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis. Prior to Equity Office, Dana was with Deloitte and Touche LLP following her graduation from the University of Michigan.

Michael Hassel
Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Michael Hassel joined ArrowStream in 2010 as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, bringing sales leadership, experience and a proven sales methodology that are particularly relevant to the next phase of ArrowStream’s evolution and that will drive the company’s technology sales plans.
Hassel brings a wealth of experience from fast growing technology companies to ArrowStream. His proven track record of increasing revenue, developing strong relationships with key accounts and his focus on enterprise wide solutions is critical as ArrowStream continues its own growth plans.
Michael was most recently an Area VP of Sales for Autonomy, a leading vendor in enterprise search technologies. He was in several sales management roles throughout is almost ten years at Autonomy. Prior to joining Autonomy Mike had several other major sales roles, with companies including Peregrine Systems, and the ERP provider System Software Associates. From 1991-1999, Michael was a Global Accounts Manager and responsible for several strategic global accounts for SSA. From 1985-1991, he was both an Account Manager and Regional Sales Manager at Texas Instruments in their Data Systems Group. Prior to Texas Instruments Hassel had successful posts at Boeing and Lanier Business Products. He started his career in the food services area with Brown’s Chicken.
Michael is originally from the Chicago area and is a graduate of Western Illinois University. Michael and his wife Laura have four children.

Frank Morgiewicz
Vice President and General Manager
Frank Morgiewicz joined ArrowStream as Vice President of Business Relationships in 2010 to direct key account management and business relationship development efforts, as well as lead effective organizational change related to business relationships and further build talented account management teams. In January 2011, Frank was promoted to VP and General Manager, overseeing all account management, business relationship and operations functions. During his career, Morgiewicz has been known for leading change effectively, building and developing execution teams, developing talent and providing superior customer service.
Prior to joining ArrowStream, Morgiewicz spent the 30 years directing supply chain implementations in the U.S. and 20 other countries. Over the last six years, Morgiewicz provided supply consulting services to foodservice companies including Wendy’s, McDonald’s and Gordon Logistics.
Prior to that, Morgiewicz served for seven years as Vice President of Supply Chain for the Friendly Ice Cream Corporation, and for nine years as Vice President of International Operations for PepsiCo’s international restaurants (YUM! Brands). Morgiewicz entered the foodservice industry as Regional Manager for Pepsico’s largest domestic foodservice distribution center.
Morgiewicz holds a Master of Business Administration from University of Miami, Florida and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of New York, Albany. Bill Michalski
Vice President, Product Strategy
Bill Michalski is Vice President of Product Strategy at ArrowStream, and is responsible for leading continuous business process improvement efforts across the organization. Michalski and his team ensure a relentless focus on process innovation and a measurement-driven approach to deliver tangible bottom-line impact for ArrowStream and its customers.
Michalski has spent 19 years delivering technology-enabled solutions to companies ranging from startups to the Fortune 500. Prior to joining ArrowStream in 2006, Michalski was an Account Director for Verticalnet, a software and consulting services provider of supply management solutions. With Verticalnet (now BravoSolutions), Michalski was accountable for sales and delivery of spend management and strategic sourcing solutions at major consumer products companies in the United States and Europe. He also led the software product delivery team for their Collaborative Sourcing platform, and specialized in guiding companies through sourcing their largest and most critical spend categories.
Prior to Verticalnet, Michalski worked at Clarity Consulting, a Chicago-based technical consultancy, where he led teams in delivering custom software solutions to companies such as USFreightways and Ameritech (now AT&T).
Michalski received his Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and English at the University of Pennsylvania, and his Master’s degree in English Literature from the University of Chicago. He lives in Chicago with his wife Hilde and son Karl.

Greg Long
Vice President, Human Resources
Greg Long joined ArrowStream in 2006 as the Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to joining ArrowStream, Long held HR leadership roles in a number of manufacturing and consumer product companies, including Quaker Oats, Blyth, Inc., Sun Chemical, and Container Corporation of America.
Long has an extensive background in staffing, employee development, leadership development and training. His early work in HR was in labor relations where he helped develop and implement principle-based bargaining practices in a number of organizations.
Long earned a Bachelors degree in Mathematics Education and Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Kent State University.
Greg and his wife Diane live in Glen Ellyn, Illinois and are the parents of three adult children.

Jeff Whittemore
Vice President IT & Compliance
Jeff Whittemore joined ArrowStream as the Director of IT in the summer of 2009 and was named Vice President of IT & Compliance in July of 2010. Jeff has 30 years experience in information technology and has been instrumental in upgrading and scaling ArrowStream’s IT infrastructure.
As the VP of IT & Compliance, Jeff is responsible for expanding ArrowStream’s systems capacity with our business growth, to maintain strict service level adherence, as well as designing, implementing and maintaining ArrowStream’s redundant IT systems to protect customer and ArrowStream data.
Prior to joining ArrowStream, Jeff was the VP of IT Operations and a co-founder of Secured Digital Storage. Prior to that role, Jeff was VP at The Systems House, where he created a start-up hosting/collocation business. Earlier in his career, he served as Director of IT for US Office Products, where he centralized IT and designed and built an award-winning enterprise data center. After US Office Products was acquired, Jeff planned and executed its integration with Corporate Express IT networks and platforms.

Darren Reid
VP Logistics Services
Darren Reid is the Vice President of Logistics Services for ArrowStream, overseeing ArrowStream Logistics Operations, Carrier Performance and Procurement, Logistics Account Management, and ArrowStream Freight Services (AFS).
Darren has more than 15 years of experience in the transportation/logistics industry. Prior to Joining ArrowStream, Darren served as the Manager of Truckload Procurement at UPS, managing a purchased transportation budget of $600 million across all of UPS’ business units. Before UPS, Darren was a National Account Manager for LandSpan, a leading asset-based team service truckload carrier. Darren started his career at C.H. Robinson in Nashville, TN.
Darren lives in Chicago with his two dogs, Sylus and Lester.

Steve Long
Senior Director of OnDemand Solutions
Steve Long joined ArrowStream in March 2004. Long leads the company’s technology product and services offerings team, responsible for all new customer implementation, customer training and support, software product management, and distributor connectivity. His focus is on helping to create innovative new technology and service offerings to help ArrowStream’s customers improve their bottom line, implementing a new E-Learning platform to deliver top notch training to customers, and driving continuous improvement in ArrowStream’s day-to-day execution. Over the past 7 years, Steve held several roles of increasing responsibility in both ArrowStream’s Logistics and Technology business units.
Prior to joining ArrowStream, Long worked at The Home Depot in Atlanta, in Operations Strategy, and Signing and In-Store Environment departments.
Long received his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Spanish from the University of Virginia. He lives in Chicago.
