Loss Prevention Specialist

The Loss Prevention Specialist will investigate loss and damage issues to determine the cause, identify the responsible party, and promptly file the transportation claim.  This position will also monitor the outcome of the claims recovery process and identify areas of opportunity that will enhance the success of transportation claim recovery.  Additionally, the Loss Prevention Specialist will participate in and lead claims prevention initiatives, assist in the development of performance dashboards, risk assessment models, and act as a liaison between cross-functional departments. The Loss Prevention Specialist will operate with our Finance Team based at our headquarter office in downtown Chicago. This role requires 2-3 years (minimum) of transportation experience, as well as loss prevention management know-how. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; freight claims management and prevention certification a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.

Logistics Engineer

As an addition to our Engineering team, the Logistics Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing our supply chain solutions by providing analytical reports, mathematical modeling and project management solutions. Primary responsibilities include the design and development of supply chain solutions, identifying cost savings opportunities through strategic network design, mode conversion, freight consolidation, closed loop tours and continuous moves by using modeling tools. This role will report modeling results to customers through written reports and oral presentations. Strong engineering optimization, modeling and business development analysis skills are required. A Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Research required; previous supply chain management experience a must.
